Understanding Del

Occasionally, I have trouble knowing just what exactly Deli needs. Seeing as how he is a baby and cannot talk yet, it makes guessing his needs and feelings a little difficult at times.

Enter the chart.

I have found that on our worst days all I need to do is bring the chart to Del and ask him how he is feeling. He quickly finds the proper emotion and our day goes much more smoothly, now that I know just what he needs from me. This chart even helps me decifer Mikey, when he is just plain upset and doesn't have the words to tell me what is wrong.

I know other mothers must also have the occasional problem reading their children, so of course I thought I would share.
