A couple Saturdays ago the girls decided to have an Art Sale.
They decided to ask $80 a piece, but at my suggestion felt that maybe .25 cents might get them more customers.
There was mostly paintings of rainbows, aliens, some scissor outlines, the neighbor's house.
The medium was acrylic, marker and pen.
The girls made a killing.
I think final tally was $2.50.
Big money.
They can't decide where to spend their riches first,
but there has been some discussion on which treat to buy at the
YMCA vending machine.
There were a couple treats I would like to share with you, though.
Um, Josie?
Who is this?
J: It's a statue I saw at a museum once.
Phew!

Not disturbing...beautiful! After all, consider the age of the artists!
I am laughing out loud!
Thank you for getting it Claire! I know none of us look 18 anymore after a few kids - but hopefully we don't drop quite as much as Josie's pictures. Dodged a bullet there!
Definition of kid art:
where realism, cubism and impressionism meet for a quarter apiece and adults snicker at the scandal of it all. :-)
