Papi had a birthday! We had a very exciting day of food, naps and a little work around the house. We went all out for the festive occasion. The girls made cards and gifts...

The best gift was a lovely twist-tie earring - only one, so you can decide what ear you want to wear it in - as modeled here by the Papi. He loves this picture. And I think he's gonna wear the earring to work. Maybe.

Ash Wednesday - or - Knock, Knock!

So we went to Ash Wednesday service. The kids were pretty good. Except. During one of the more prayerful, silent, meditative, solemn moments a little voice pipes up, "KNOCK, KNOCK!". And another little voice answers, "WHO'S THERE?!". It was a proud moment. Even though I was sitting between the two little boogers, I pretended they weren't mine.
